    Yoav Jacob

In the Home Networking Coordinator [email protected]

Hi all! I’m Yoav Jacob, a sophomore in LSA studying Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity (EEB). I am very excited to be Hillel’s new In the Home student coordinator. I really believe in the idea of creating community from something as simple as a meal. If you can’t find me cooking up a storm with my friends, I am probably exploring the Arboretum (yes even in the winter). Let me know if you ever want to chat over coffee, tea, or hummus about hosting a meal in your home!

    Noa Schmidt

    Israel Experience Coordinator [email protected]

Hi! My name is Noa, and I am so excited to be Hillel’s Israel Experience Community Coordinator! I spent this past summer interning in Tel Aviv and am so excited that I get to help others find their way back to Israel! I’m from Chicago and am currently a junior in the School of Education, studying to be an elementary school teacher.   Hillel is by far one of my favorite places to be, especially for Shabbat dinner. In my free time, I enjoy going to yoga, hanging out with friends, and listening to musicals (Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, Greatest Showman, etc.). I also love going on coffee dates so if you want to learn more about Israel programs or how to get on one of our Israel trips this summer, please feel free to reach out!

    Emma Keer

    Prospective Student Coordinator [email protected]

Hi! I’m Emma Keer and I’m thrilled to be the Prospective Student Coordinator for this year! I’m a freshman studying Movement Science in the School of Kinesiology and potentially a double major in Women’s Studies. I’m from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and have been a umich fan since before I was born. I’m super excited to help encourage more Jewish students to come to Ann Arbor! When I’m not obsessively talking about my dogs, I’m avidly searching for new Netflix shows to watch when I’m not too busy. I was always involved with Jewish programming in high school and I’m really glad to continue it here at U of M.

    Remy Farkas

    Learning Experience Coordinator [email protected]

Hi! My name is Remy Farkas and I am the Jewish Learning Experience Community Coordinator. I am from Miami, FL and I’m a freshman in LSA but have no idea what to study. I grew up going to a Reform Synagogue and enjoyed being involved in NFTY throughout high school. I love social justice work, specifically my work with Camp Jenny, a camp for underprivileged children in inner-city Atlanta. I am a writer for The Michigan Daily and a member of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law fraternity and Alpha Omicron Pi. I love to bake (especially Challah, obviously) and I love to watch reality TV, including but not limited to Real Housewives, competitive baking shows and anything else on Bravo.

    Hannah Katz

    Current Events Coordinator [email protected]

Hi! I’m Hannah Katz and I’m super excited to be Hillel’s Current Events Coordinator! I’m a sophomore from Farmington Hills, majoring in International Studies and PPE. When I’m not at Hillel, I spend my time being co-chair of the women’s issues committee of the College Democrats and planning fun, feminist events! Outside of that, I love trying new restaurants, drawing and painting, and finding new music to listen to. I love going on coffee dates, so feel free to hit me up if you want to talk about current events, feminism, college life, or anything else!
