Hi! My name is Leor Rosen and I am so excited to be serving as the chair of Hillel for the next year! I’m a sophomore from Bethesda, Maryland hoping to study organizational studies and psychology! Hillel has been such an important part of my college experience and I am so honored to give back to this wonderful organization. Hi! My name is Ellie Schreier, and I am super excited to be Governing Board’s Internal Relations Officer for 2019! I am currently a Sophomore in LSA studying Sociology and minoring in Spanish. • Eli Sider

    External Relations Officer [email protected]

Hi my name is Eli Sider and I am the external relations officer for Hillel. I’m from Huntington Woods, I went to the Frankel Jewish Academy for high school and I was on the gap year program Kivunim. I enjoy rock climbing and I have an identical twin (so if I don’t say hi to you, don’t take it personally, you might be talking to the wrong person). I am super psyched to be part of governing board and work to make Hillel the best it can possibly be. I want to expand our relationships with other campus organizations and generate a positive view of Hillel in the eyes of people who haven’t even heard of Hillel. Please reach out to me if you have any question about anything Hillel or simply want to chat. My number is 12488081489. Go Blue! Go Hillel!

  • Becca Garfinkel

    Graduate Student Representative [email protected]

Hi! I’m a law student and 2015 UMich grad with a degree in Political Science. In undergrad I was also a member of the varsity softball team and a student-athlete representative to the Big Ten. After graduating I moved to Israel, where I was a participant on a Masa program (ask me about it!) and taught negotiation skills. I’m thrilled to be back in Ann Arbor as a part of our thriving graduate student community. Stealing this from Kevin: If you’re a current or prospective graduate student, send me an email! I’d love to talk about our community here at Michigan.

I’m a want-to-be UM student but really just a member of the community! I’ve worked for Jewish foundations and nonprofits for almost twenty years and am currently Executive Director of the Mandell and Madeleine Berman Foundation and also Director of Philanthropic Advising at Rosov Consulting. My two sons, Eli and Caleb, ages 14 and 11, are rabid Michigan fans, along with my husband David, a social worker and lawyer. Attending the Governing Board meetings makes my day — truly — and I never cease to be impressed by the Michigan Hillel student leaders and staff.
