Volunteer With Hillel

Led by the Hillel Volunteer Coordinators, the Volunteer with Hillel Committee creates and facilitates community service opportunities in the greater Ann Arbor area. The Committee plans both smaller scale one-off programs as well as builds relationships with national partners for larger scale programming such as Repair the World and Good Deeds Day.

Challah For Hunger

Challah for Hunger brings people together from across campus to bake and sell challah in an effort to raise money and awareness for hunger in our own community. Every other Monday, we bake and then braid the challahs. We then sell them on Wednesdays on campus (Mason Hall) and at Hillel to spread our love of challahs to the rest of the Michigan community! We donate 50% of our proceeds to the Maize and Blue Cupboard on campus and the other 50% to Swipe Out HungerBaking and selling the challah are both great opportunities to make new friends and socialize while helping a good cause! Follow us on Instagram @umchallah and join our groupme.
